THE WINKS BIRTHDAY PARTY TOUR stories and pictures

The Winks played eighteen shows in seventeen days, go figure. We played at punk bars, record stores, anarchist book stores, house parties, university cafeterias, jazz clubs and art spaces. We shared the stage with top 40 bar-bands, pre-teen grungers, post-punk artschool kids, Christian rockers, and Quebecois fusion artists. We added ten thousand kilometers to the purple minivan.

MEDECINE HAT:
Todd broke his toe in Medecine Hat rocking out on stage. Luckily the place that we stayed at was a doctors house. He showed Todd how to tape his toes together.

We played in the antler room in a Moose Lodge.
CALAGRY
These two girls were pretty much the only people in the audience. We stayed up till 4AM having a dance party and then went for drive through wendys and ate it in a dark cold park.

WITH JERF:
We had a night off and gave Jerf a private show in his living room all night. The next day we went to the wave pool and had a basket ball game with waves. Todd+Tyr beat Tim+Adrian by one point.
SASKATOON:
The bassment in saskatoon has really good floors for tap dancing.
WATERLOO:

We slept in the same room we played in. There was a canopy of balloons.
